  • Cette étude porte sur l'inventaire et la description des champignons consommés par la population riveraine du PNKB avec comme objectif d'améliorer les connaissances sur les espèces fongiques consommées. Pour y arriver les méthodes d'enquêtage et de relevé des champignons ont été utilisées pour une bonne analyse des compositions fongiques. Au cours de cette étude, 38 espèces appartenant à 25 genres et 16 familles ont été inventoriées dont 8 non connues. Ces familles ont été classées dans 11 ordres, 5 sous-classes et 2 divisions. L'embrachement de Basidiomycota a été le mieux représenté avec 37 espèces, soit 97,4%. Les espèces terricoles sont les plus dominantes (55,3%) de l'ensemble des espèces de mycoflore. De l'ensemble 21 espèces des champignons sont consommés par la population mais 10 seulement sont reputées comestibles à Nindja.

A Bujumbura c'est surtout les appollos et les caamarans motorisés et non motorisés; à Uvira tandisque les porte-filets et les pirogues porte-lampes s'associent pour former les unités catamarans mais à Bukavu se sont les trimaran et les filets qui font la pêche. L'absence ou l'insuffisance de conrôle par les instances administratives habilitées entraine un développement considérable des techniques et activités de pêche non autorisées. Le manque d'engagement effectif en faveur d'une coopération entre les Etats riverains pour une conservation et une exploitation rationnelle et durable des écosystèmes aquatiques freine le démarrage d'un développement effectif de la pêche.
